Thursday 14th March saw more than 500 young people from across Rushmoor, Hart and Surrey take to the stage at Princes Hall, Aldershot for the 11th Annual Gremlin Dance Challenge events.

Three events took place throughout the day with Infant, Junior and Secondary levels and prizes awarded for performances in each category. The theme for 2019 was “Famous Authors” and the interpretations ranged from Pirates In Underpants to Private Peaceful with an exceptional standard of performance.

Prizes included Best Performance in Character, Best Choreography, Most Entertaining Performance, Use of Musicality, Best Concept and many more.

The overall winners for each age group were Alderwood Infant School, South Farnborough Junior School, Cove School (KS3) and Calthorpe Park School (KS4). A huge well done to all the schools who took part, it was wonderful to celebrate such diversity of dance within local schools.

Students from Gremlin Dance’s Infant, Junior and Youth Dance Companies also performed, along with our youngest performers, the Twizzle Tots.

Thank you to all performers, teachers, parents and school for helping us to put on such a brilliant event. We are already looking forward to 2020!!
